The
Kashmir
25-27 Morley St
Bradford, BD7 1AG
Although I work in Bradford, it's been
many years since I've tasted a local curry.
In the very recent past I've enjoyed curries in Selly Oak, Birmingham
and Dronfield, Sheffield. So when the three of us were deciding where
to go for a lunchtinme curry, the Kashmir was mentioned in central Bradford
as one with a good reputation. After entering the restaurant you go
down stairs into a fairly dark but good sized room where the customers
are a mix of age and numbers with some singles, pairs etc, sat at tables.
the menu is simply to follow and has a good variety. We had mixed starters
of onion bhajis, mixed kebabs with dressing and salad, followed by three
curry dishes all about meduim heat with rice and nan. Sorry I can't
be more specific and maybe one of my friends could also review and confirm
the dishes but what I do remember is that the taste of each dish was
excellent, the food was fresh, the staff were very pleasant and the
price very reasonable.
You, also, soon forgot about the darker surroundings. I fully recommend
the Kashmir to anyone who is looking for the 'perfect taste' !
